A  small prototype has been developed to see if this well can filter the polluted rainwater with a biochar filter. The rainwater well is made of PP, which is one of the more durable and easily recyclable plastic products. The filter in the rainwater well can be filled with (activated) char. This filter system can be placed in the vicinity of infiltration facilities to purify rainwater before it is absorbed into the ground.
