Professional Development Programme

The THREE C Professional Development programme addresses professionals and entrepreneurs from small and medium enterprises, municipalities, public administrations and NGOs which are interested to learn about and develop sustainable approaches to introduce the circular econ-omy in their regions.

They intend to develop their circular product and service portfolio and create value chains based on the idea to substitute fossil coal by biochar feed-stock.The programme consists of monthly online seminars.

They will be offered in the partner regions in the Netherlands, Wales, Ireland, Belgium, France, Luxemburg and Germany.

The project THREE C is funded by the INTERREG North West Europe Programme. It aims at the development and introduction of product and value chains based on biochar as a raw material.
Biochar in THREE C is produced from organic waste materials, for example from municipal bio-waste, from grass harvested from abandoned grassland or nature protected areas, from urban farming projects or woody materials from landscape management.
The re-utilisation of carbon waste materials and the conversion into biochar products within THREE C is a truly circular economy approach which has a positive impact on the regional CO2 footprint.

Background

The programme will be delivered in English language in virtual online conferencing spaces to create direct online communication, exchange and collaboration.

Each participant gets access to the virtual THREE C platform which provides background theory and information material, as well as interactive and collaborative tools and instruments for product and regional value chain development.

On the regional level the THREE C programme includes counselling and networking sessions coordinated by the respective THREE C partners.

In the funded project phase (2021-2023) the THREE C consortium can offer its services without participation fees.Please note that are limited seats in the programme and there will be an assessment coordi-nated by the regional THREE C partner.

    • Develop region-specific climate friendly development communities
  • Enterprises who would enrich their product portfolio by:
    • Creating new productsand product lines based on biochar feedstock
    • Utilising biochar products in order to make their business sustainable and circular
  • Start-Ups and entrepreneurs to:
    • Develop new products and services
    • Liaise with European partners
    • Found their businesses and use our network for marketing and supply

The regional CC-hubs coordinate the support and services for each selected candidate.
