Updates from the Irish Biochar Sector
Join IrBEA for an upcoming webinar where we will introduce the Interreg Northwest Europe CASCADE project and share the latest developments in the Irish biochar sector.
The CASCADE project focuses on promoting the circular and resource-efficient economy by expanding biomass-to-biochar value chains. Building on the success of previous projects, which demonstrated the conversion of waste biomass into biochar, CASCADE continues to develop CO2-negative products and sustainable value chains as an alternative to fossil coal and peat.

This initiative is being implemented across seven pilot regions in urban, rural, and peri-urban settings throughout Europe, including Donegal, Ireland. The project aims to introduce, manage, and optimize biochar production processes, ensuring their long-term impact and scalability.
We invite you to join our webinar to learn more about the CASCADE project, its objectives, and its role in advancing the Irish biochar sector. Stay informed about ongoing developments and discover how biochar can contribute to sustainable carbon management and environmental resilience.
